Documentation
of Forma.

How a person’s intent moves through the five nodes of the protocol — from interview and brief to a verified result on the board.

Protocol sections

Everything you need,
to start a cycle.

Nine sections — by kind of engine goal. Each one has short articles on who forms the goal, which route it takes and who confirms it.

Quick start

Three steps
to the first cycle.

  1. Describe the result imageIntent runs the interview and records the brief verbatim.
  2. Set the thresholdsAttempts and cycle volume — as numbers, before the start.
  3. Start the cycleCards, kit, execution and the Core verdict.

Frequently asked questions

What is Forma?

An open protocol for working with AI agents: rules, roles of the five nodes (Intent, Spec, Kit, Run, Core), skills and a card board, a set of files in your repository.

Which engines does the protocol work with?

Claude Code, Codex and Gemini. The rules are common to all engines; the particulars of each are described in its own file.

How much does it cost?

The Protocol is free. You pay only for the models the nodes run on.

Where to start?

Describe the Result Image — Intent will run the interview and record the brief verbatim. Then set the thresholds: attempts and cycle volume — as numbers, before the start. After that, launch the cycle.

Who confirms that the work is done?

Never the executor itself: the work is confirmed by the receiving node. An external result is accepted by the human, and the verdict on the cycle is issued by Core.
